October 27, 2023 – Kooltronic, Inc. of Pennington, NJ recently completed an upgrade of its product performance and environmental testing laboratory.
Kooltronic's previous data acquisition system has been replaced with new supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) hardware and software from National Instruments. The system automatically controls, collects, and analyzes data for two environmental rooms. Two new variable transformers, which will control voltages to the test units, have also been added. This upgrade will help R&D Engineering Manager Sepehr Sabeti and his team better control and collect product performance data under various voltages, temperatures, and climate conditions. Sabeti added, "Setting up test cycles has become a lot simpler, and the new system enables independent product testing to be conducted in each of our two test chambers, simultaneously. This should help speed up time frames for testing and internal test report collection."The newly upgraded onsite test lab enables Kooltronic engineers to conduct full development and performance testing of enclosure cooling and ventilation products. Plus, being in the UL certified Client Test Data Program (CTDP) allows Kooltronic to conveniently streamline the collection and submission of all relevant testing data to Underwriters Laboratories (UL) for approval on behalf of its customers. The recent product testing lab enhancements, combined with its UL CTDP certification, further builds upon Kooltronic’s competitive advantage and support the company’s commitment to delivering the highest quality enclosure cooling products.
